That’s one big beaver

We stopped for lunch at a quaint small-town diner in Beaverlodge, AB, Canada after a quick stop to take a video and selfies with the massive beaver roadside tourist attraction. Worth a stop, though we’d have had more fun with beaver puns without “little ears”. It was probably just as well for the other beaver-viewers.

I had planned to fly my eldest son, Simon, to Alaska to chill for a week before accompanying Danny on a flight home to Maine afterward. It didn’t work out for him to come, so we concocted another plan. Danny’s father is flying in from Maine to accompany the little guy home instead—which made for an intriguing opportunity.

I’d been silently lamenting the loss of our Hawaii adventure this past winter due to our boat having taken so long to be repaired and sold. I’d been planning for weeks to stay with an old friend to help her build a dome house on some land she’d purchased there. I haven’t seen her for 15-years.

After our first week in Alaska, we are embarking on an unexpected week-long trip to Hawaii on July 23rd. Danny’s father will be staying in the RV with Danny and Chip to enjoy some Alaskan sight-seeing, exploring and fishing for the week. Tickets to Hawaii are much more affordable to fly out of Alaska than from Maine.

Upon our return to Alaska, his father will take our enduro motorbike to visit old friends he has in Alaska while we have another week to enjoy time with Danny, before they both fly back to Maine on August 6th.

@thewheatonway RV adventures don't miss a single questionable life choice by following Mandy Wheaton and Kevin Wheaton from Maine
